VPN

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a way to securely access a private network over public communication lines and networks.
It uses encryption and other mechanisms to ensure only authorized users access the network and data. If you're using a
computer off campus and want to access the company network through an Internet Service Provider (ISP), VPN will allow you to
do so. It assigns you a company IP address, which is how the network identifies company users. Once you have a company IP address you
can get into your work computer and shared drives.
